Principal’s Message

Welcome to the Sunrise Elementary website. I am excited to announce that our school is adding new ways to facilitate communication between teachers, parents, students, and our community. Technology is a way to achieve what we want for our students; an education that is founded on the skills that will be necessary to succeed in the 21st century. With faculty and staff that is dedicated and experienced, Sunrise Elementary School is where you want your child to be. Our association with the Partnership of Los Angeles School (PLAS) gives every teacher additional training opportunities designed to generate positive results. We believe that every child can succeed.

 

One of our priorities this school year is to make sure that every student receives the academic support that they need. With that as a goal, teachers have been analyzing student data to create intervention groups that will participate in Learning Academies. Beginning September 11, students in K-2 will participate in intervention groups for 40 minutes. The lessons and activities that they complete during this time will help them with their specific need. This is of the greatest importance! Children will best learn and grow when they receive additional help in the area that they need it most. This is exactly what we are doing. Remember, Sunrise is where you want your children to be, because at Sunrise, we rise to the top!
